That one listed looks a lot like mine when I first got it. Granted, mine had a lot of sun damage to the paint, hence the new way2blu paintjob I got for it.

The metallic blue on the Turbo looks absolutely gorgeous and I’m sure it’s even better in direct sunlight. It’s amazing how prices have gone up in the past 3 years too.

Well, I’ll try. May end up dragging my butt into the office on the weekend to try to catch up on a project. Plus side, I won’t be under pressure from the sales department to get their drawings done, so I should be able to work how I want... and maybe slip in a little time working on some of my own stuff in CAD. Things like a table and vacuforming rig I’m planning.

Tomorrow my daughter’s scout troop will be launching model rockets, so that should be fun. My buddy is coming over to watch the final IndyCAR race of the season Sunday, I’m really looking forward to that . The weather hasn’t been too cooperative for scooter riding, but I’m going to try and squeeze a little ride in too.

No real fixed timeline, which is one reason I’ve been trying to design the parts for the table for a year...

It’d be done by now if I hadn’t made the thing so dang complicated. It’s basically an end cabinet to support a TV and have storage underneath for some of my D&D/etc. books, which folds flat into a live table (with the screen) for playing RPGs on.

Believe it or not, I’ve got the geometry for that and most of the panel shapes worked out.

The vacuum table is for the production of things such as R2D2 heads and body panels/roof pieces for 40% scale Land-Rovers , mostly* . You know, general demented maker stuff. Not really trying to get it done-done for probably a year, but getting started.

*I have reasons to want to build several of these. The classic kit design involves making side panels with router details and top cove, and numerous other parts that are easy if making ~4-5 to just make out of 1/8" ABS. Probably. In any event, having replaceable body panels for inevitable accidents seems like a good idea. Also, the plans don’t include roofs, and I can fix that too, along with not having deluxe version hoods or rear doors...

I wonder if I should pervert the plans enough to make a Forward Control.

I think my neighbor is coming over tonight to drink some beers and shoot the breeze. Tomorrow I’m going to be working around the house, catching up on chores and house projects. I’ve got a guy coming by around 10 to look at the garage doors I want replaced, so I’m pretty excited about that, the car hold is finally coming together.

I really enjoyed model rocketry when I was a cub scout. Glad to see the sport is alive and well! Sounds like a great weekend ahead.
